Our participation in TEDActive and coverage of the TED Conference last week led us to miss several news items last week, so we’re playing catch-up a bit. One of those was the opening of a new classroom building for the Collège Mixte Le Bon Berger, Montrouis, in Port au Prince, Haiti. With its colorful shade system and banisters, this beautiful, simple project represents a partnership of Architecture For Humanity, The Stiller Foundation, and Students Rebuild. Architecture for Humanity has also issued an appeal for both donations and volunteers to aid in recovery efforts following the devastating string of tornadoes that pummeled the Midwest over the past week.
